Hi all! Term 3 is just about to get underway - I hope you've had a nice couple of weeks off, and are ready to get back into it!

Just a quick shout out about a must-see concert coming up - the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band are playing at QPAC for one night only on Thursday August 6th. Tickets are still available to see one of the best brass bands, make that one of the best ensembles, in the world.

This innovative brass band has such an amazing history - they were the basis of the movie "Brassed Off" (in which the real band played a major role). Check out Grimethorpe in this great flugelhorn solo from the film (solo is called "Adagio" from Rodrigo's Concerto D'Aranjuez) and this electric live performance of "MacArthur Park"!
