Chris Baldwin is a passionate and committed teacher of the trumpet. He currently maintains a large studio of trumpet and cornet students of all ages and levels - from absolute beginner through to advanced students. Lessons can focus on any style of music the student enjoys (or a bit of everything) - from classical and orchestral through to jazz or pop music. Lessons with Chris not only deal with meeting the technical requirements of the instrument and preparation of pieces/songs, but also music theory, aural skills, performance skills and coping with 'nerves'. Chris is passionate about incorporating modern technology into the learning process - students receive the benefit of student recordings, apps for developing rhythm, aural skills or sight reading, and have access to Chris' extensive music recording library. Chris is available to prepare students for formal music examinations, in particular meeting the requirements of AMEB and Trinity College London exams. Above all, the primary goal of Chris' lessons is enjoyment - we are ALL here to learn and have fun, no matter what age or skill level!

Chris is currently accepting students for his private teaching studio. If you are interested in learning a skill and having great fun doing so, visit the Contact page to get in touch with Chris about starting trumpet or cornet lessons!
